companies has increased significantly<\/strong>. Currently, 74% of organizations rely extensively or entirely on cloud infrastructures, representing an increase of 13 percentage points compared to 2023. Despite this positive development, <strong>Germany continues to lag in the EMEA comparison<\/strong> (Europe, Middle East, Africa) <strong>behind<\/strong>. While a quarter of companies across Europe have already fully migrated their infrastructure to the <a href=\"https:\/\/firstcolo.net\/en\/glossary\/cloud-based\/\">cloud<\/a>, this figure stands at only 14% in Germany.   <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-4429ca82 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"4429ca82\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Agentic AI as a Driver for Cloud Innovation\n<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-4f23b394 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"4f23b394\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><strong>Artificial intelligence (AI) has become the central driver for cloud investments<\/strong>. For 67% of surveyed executives in Germany, the capabilities of agentic AI are now a decisive criterion when <a href=\"https:\/\/firstcolo.net\/en\/service\/firstcolo-cloud-service\/\">selecting their cloud providers<\/a>. However, the study reveals a discrepancy between aspiration and reality: only 7% of German companies have already implemented or scaled agentic AI, while the EMEA average stands at 29%.  <\/p><p>A significant <strong>barrier to AI readiness<\/strong> is the <strong>shortage of skilled professionals<\/strong>. Less than half of German decision-makers (48%) are confident that their workforce possesses the necessary competencies to deploy AI profitably. In the rest of the EMEA region, this figure stands at 80%.  <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-6c1b2c98 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"6c1b2c98\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Challenges: Complexity and Digital Sovereignty\n<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-3e23de77 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"3e23de77\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>As systems mature, the focus is shifting from pure migration to optimization. <a href=\"https:\/\/firstcolo.net\/en\/glossary\/multi-cloud\/\">Multi-cloud<\/a> has become the standard with a utilization rate of 69%. However, this diversity leads to new challenges:  <\/p><ul><li><strong>Integration complexity<\/strong>: 42% of respondents identify increasing technical complexity as the greatest internal barrier to measurable value from the cloud.<\/li><li><strong>External risks<\/strong>: Data privacy concerns and regulatory requirements are cited as primary challenges by over half of companies.<\/li><li><strong>Geopolitics<\/strong>: 73% of organizations have already adjusted their cloud strategy due to geopolitical uncertainties or plan to do so within the next twelve months.<\/li><\/ul><p>In this context, national and <strong>sovereign cloud models<\/strong> are gaining importance, although they remain underrepresented in Germany.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-5b445d03 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"5b445d03\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h3 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Investment Priorities and Deficits in Cost Management\n<\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-24b0687c elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"24b0687c\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-1463c38 elementor-widget__width-initial elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"1463c38\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\"><div class=\"elementor-widget-container\"><p>Despite economic pressure, 84% of companies plan to <strong>increase their cloud budgets<\/strong>. More than half of these investments (54%) are primarily intended to flow into the areas of AI and machine learning. <\/p><p>There is a significant need to catch up regarding the <strong>financial management of cloud resources<\/strong>. Only 11% of German companies utilize comprehensive FinOps practices for consistent cost optimization across multiple providers. In the EMEA average, this figure is nearly three times as high at 31%.
