Our Apprenticeships

With a solid apprenticeship, we aim to support your personal and professional development from the outset and together set the course for your successful future. At firstcolo, we train to attract talent for our own needs – this means: If you enjoy your work and we have inspired you, nothing stands in the way of being offered a permanent position.

Become part of our team and experience an apprenticeship that not only advances you professionally but also personally. During the block phases of the apprenticeship, you optimally combine theory and practice: The practical part takes place in one of our state-of-the-art data centers, while the theoretical part is taught at the Werner-von-Siemens Vocational School. The apprenticeship lasts 3 years, but with excellent performance or relevant prior knowledge, you can shorten it to 2.5 years.

We value your ideas and look forward to celebrating small and big successes with you. With the best prerequisites, you will start a promising career with us:

Step by Step: Our Getting-to-Know-You Process

Would you like to know in advance what to expect during our selection process? Here you will find everything you need to know about the procedure.
  • Have you found an exciting position with us? Then apply with your compelling resume via our careers page.
  • Our Match Makers will review your application within 2 days and contact you with any questions.
  • You will receive our feedback within 1 week at the latest.
  • Our first meeting takes place online via Teams. Depending on the position to be filled, we will discuss the requirements of the role, our expectations of the future incumbent, and your wishes for 45 to a maximum of 90 minutes.
  • If we jointly decide that we want to deepen our acquaintance, the next step will be either an invitation for a personality test or the opportunity to meet the team directly on-site as part of a trial.
  • In a second personal interview, we clarify any remaining questions, evaluate the results of your personality test, and discuss the contract conditions. For leadership positions, you will receive a technical task beforehand, which will be presented in the second interview.
  • If it’s a “Perfect Match”, we will make you an offer and send you the draft contract for review.
  • Once all questions are clarified, we will send you your new employment contract and look forward to working with you!
  • In preparation for your first day of work, you will receive an onboarding plan for the first 6 months from us approximately 2 weeks before your start date.
  • This ensures you are well informed about what to expect.
  • Do you have questions during this time? No problem, your future HR colleagues are always there to assist you.
  • On the first day, an exciting program awaits you: After a general company overview, you will be equipped with your required IT.
  • Afterwards, you will receive instruction on occupational safety and data protection.
  • The first day ends after you visit your new team again.
  • To ensure quick integration and to make sure you have everything you need in your first few months, you will have regular feedback meetings with your manager. This way, you can adjust the onboarding plan if necessary and have a good overview of knowledge already conveyed and any remaining training needs.
  • In between, HR colleagues will approach you for a walk or a coffee together to ask how you are doing.
  • Several weeks before the end of your probationary period, you will have certainty that everything is a good fit.
  • A letter confirming successful completion of your probationary period is then merely a formality.
