The dashboard allows for centralized resource management. Virtual machines can be connected easily. Access is provided via a single interface.
Identity Service manages access rights and authentication in the cloud by assigning each user ("tenant") individualized access with defined rights.
Swift is the object storage that operates redundantly across multiple locations as archival storage. It is particularly suitable for storing backups, VM images, or other files such as images.
Image Service makes it possible to create images of cloud instances and access them as needed. This allows entire environments to be created based on individual images.
Networking Service allows for the central management of individual network services such as IP addresses and VPN access. Furthermore, data transfer between virtual instances within the cloud can be secured.
To provide storage, virtual block storage can be created that behaves like physical hard drives but is arbitrarily scalable. Data backups can be generated without effort.
Compute Service is used for the management and administration of compute resources, thus offering the possibility for the orchestrated provisioning of virtual machines.
